About Katalemwa Cheshire Home for Rehabilitation Services (KCH)
Founded in 1970, Katalemwa Cheshire Home for Rehabilitation Services (KCH) is a not for profit disability-focused NGO that provides rehabilitation services to children aged 0-18 years and young persons aged 19-24 years with disabilities. We offer quality medical care, socio-economic support, and the fabrication of orthopaedic appliances. Our work is executed through a network of partner organizations, Centre and Community-Based Inclusive Development (CBID), Rights-Based Programming (RBP), and close collaboration with families, communities, civil society, development partners, and the government.
With a vision of creating a society where persons with disabilities lead productive and dignified lives, KCH is seeking to recruit a Project Accountant to support the RISE project in the refugee settlements of Nakivale, Rwamwanja, and Kyangwali.
About the RISE Project
KCH, in consortium with Save the Children International (SCI), Humanity & Inclusion (HI), Education Local Expertise Centre (ELECU), Young African Refugees for Integral Development (YARID), Humanitarian Development and Assistance Services (HADS), and Uganda Society for Disabled Children (USDC), is implementing a two-year RISE project (2025-2027) in the refugee settlements of Nakivale, Rwamwanja, and Kyangwali in South-Western Uganda. The project aims to provide comprehensive rehabilitation and inclusive education services to refugees and host communities.
Job Summary
The Project Accountant will be based at KCH and will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the RISE project, ensuring compliance with financial policies, donor requirements, and national regulations. The role will involve budgeting, financial reporting, transaction processing, and audit support.

Hours of Work
The Project accountant will work 40 hours per week, following the organization’s standard working hours. However, flexibility may be required based on project needs.
