Who we are

Welcome to KCH’s website.  Katalemwa Cheshire home for Rehabilitation services (KCH) is a non-governmental development organization in Uganda involved in the rehabilitation of children with disabilities. KCH’s programmes focus on holistic and comprehensive medical and social rehabilitation of CWDs with consideration of HIV/AIDS and Gender mainstreaming, provision of assistive devices, promotion of children’s right to quality inclusive education and livelihood programs to enable CWDs live independent lives.

Each year, approximately 35,000 children are directly assisted through the Katalemwa Cheshire Home’s community based rehabilitation program. The programs focus on both medical and social rehabilitation as well as provision of appliances using innovative community based approaches. Katalemwa also promotes children’s’ rights to quality education and offers livelihood programs to enable disabled children and their families live independent lives.

Our vision is to be a regional leader and partner in rehabilitation and fulfilling the rights of children with disabilities.

Mission

Our mission is to provide quality and holistic rehabilitation services to children with disabilities and their families

Goal

Our goal is to see Children with Disabilities and their families included in society.
